Government Transformation 1Malaysia Can political leaders be trusted to make a difference?
|
Praise God for His grace and mercies, for He is our salvation and He alone can make us dwell in safety. (Praying with Psalm 5)
- The Church
- continues to walk in righteousness, rejoice in the Lord and ever sing for joy, for God blesses the righteous, and covers him with favour as with a shield.
- continues to intercede for the nation's wellbeing and wait expectantly
- to be role model of good-governance
- Pray for the political leaders, federal government and the state governments: men and women with integrity, love the nation, humble and willing to serve the rakyat and place national interests above their own.
- Those who habitually sow discord and create chaos:
- their minds and hearts be transformed
- they will discard selfish ambition, cease all shameful political bickerings, and abandon racism
- they will no longer exploit racial or religous issues for personal political mileage
- For God does not delight in wickedness, the arrogant cannot stand in His presence. He hates all evildoers, destroys those speak lies, and detests the bloodthirsty and deceitful men
- Pray that national/state leaders and judges to be wise, just and courageous; they will not bow down to religious extremists but seek to protect the rights of the minorities
- All Bahasa speaking Christians can freely worship Allah in praises, prayer and writing.
- Local councils will not harassed the Orang Asli Christian communities nor destroy their places of worship as some had done in the past.
- Jahut Christian community in Kampung Pasu, Termerloh, Pahang
- the state government will give them power and water supply.

| New Economy Model Removal of subsidies |
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the rakyat must face new global realities and accept increased competition and removal of subsidies: "Giving freer rein to private initiative and market forces... has important consequences... We may not be able to afford over-subsidised and under-priced energy" (http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/malaysia/52405-najib-subsidies-need-to-be-phased-out).
- Pray for political will, sincerity and full commitment in rooting out corruption.
- Pray that the Government in its economic policies will not place financial burden on the raykat in the process of change towards high-income society
- Pray that Government will have wisdom and expertise to work out comprehensive and wholistic strategies; it will be effective in implementation and prudent in public spending and management
- In June 2010, Government is expected to introduce the 10th Malaysia Plan, outlining new reforms.
- It is reported that although the rising cost of fuel and strained finances have forced the Federal government to reduce subsidies, Malaysia has profited from higher world energy prices as an oil and gas exporter.
- Pray for the Government to hate evil, love good and establish justice.
